MIGHTY is a marketing and public relations firm that propels new ideas into the public eye.
We are on a quest to find innovation, and work with entrepreneurs who are disrupting the old way of doing things with new offerings in mobile, social and cloud.
Partnering closely with companies to help them tell their special stories is what we do best. Our approach centers on connecting deep into a variety of influencer circles to drive visibility and conversation across industry and consumer audiences.
Mighty was founded by Candace Locklear and Rebecca Fuller, both experienced communications pros with a track record of standout work for some of the world's best brands.
Rebecca is a transplant from the East Coast, where she grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Mighty is her fifth public relations agency gig – but taking inspiration from the many amazing entrepreneurs she has worked with over the years, this time she's calling the shots. For the first half of her career, Rebecca handled product and corporate PR for hefty global brands like Intuit, HP, Seiko, and Symantec. For the past 10 years, she's worked mostly with young companies, VCs and dozens of disruptive startups like Flickr, Last.FM, INQ Mobile, Jelli, Index Ventures and Madrona Ventures. Before founding Mighty, she spent seven years at Sparkpr, most of it working closely with Candace.
Candace has been working in high tech public relations since moving to San Francisco from the Carolina coast in 1996, starting with GCI Group and mega-accounts like Sun Microsystems and Oracle before taking MP3.com public in 2000. At the same time, she volunteered her PR skills to Burning Man, creating the event's first press kit for the event and growing the media team to 80 people. In 2001, Candace joined Openwave to manage CXO communications, and worked with global mobile operators and OEMs to bring WAP browsing to the mainstream. Mighty partner Rebecca Fuller convinced her to join Sparkpr in 2005, where Candace started and grew the mobile practice represented by EA Mobile, Good Technology, Symbian Foundation and Skype, as well as upstarts such as Tapulous (now Disney Mobile), GetJar, Trolltech (now Nokia), Skyfire, Flipboard and INQ Mobile.
